More Details: Peggy was built for pilot Richard Arthur Case in 1903 by Edwin ‘ Cracker’ Rowles at his yard in Pill on the Avon. Originally named ‘ Wave’ she was No. 10 and carried that number on her mainsail.
She was converted to a yacht be Moody’s in the 1920’s and registered as Peggy in London. She was owned from 1973 to 2018 by Mr Diccon Pridie then bought by John Potter and Rachel Haynes.
Her home port is Bristol City Docks. Peggy is active and has been making trips every year recently she has been to Scotland, N Irelend, Brittany, West coast of Ireland, and in the past few years travelled up the Engish Channel and through Amsterdam and the inland seas of Holland before heading further east through the Kiel canal to Denmark, then in 2025 travelled up the west coast of Sweden and around the Norwegian coast to Bergen. Crossing the North Sea to Shetlands, Orkney, and down the West coast of Scotland, to Ireland and then Home to Bristol in October 2025.
In April she sailed to the Scillies where some of the crew took part in the Gig Rowing World Championships
Peggy has featured in the Waterways World Magazine describing her trip through the Kiel Canal and is shortly being featured in the Guardian covering entering the Baltic and going to Denmark. Click Here to read the article
